Our favorite chef, Andrew Zimmern
We are going to tell you about Andrew Zimmern’s achievements in his career, but first want you to know that he is something of a hero to us at Daddy Sam’s. He helped us when we were first getting started and was very generous with his time.
Andrew won the prestigious James Beard Foundation Award in 2010 and hosts Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern which has been on The Travel Channel for six seasons and 75 episodes. The Show has won the Cablefax award for Best Television Program: Food.
As a young hot shot just out of college (Vassar College) he became a successful chef in Manhattan and then moved on to Minneapolis.
A successful newspaper columnist, he branched into radio and television. He starred in The Cooking Club of America instructional videos and has appeared on the Today Show on NBC and CNN’s Money and Health.
He is a regular speaker on culinary matters at organizations such as The American Federation of Chefs and the Chinese Chefs National Committee. He has been a guest chef at many national charity events including Food and Wine Magazine’s Aspen Festival and the James Beard House in New York.
His book “How I Walked Out the Door Mouth First … and Came Back Shaking My Head was published in 2009.

I can”t tell you how much my family loves loves loves your bbq sauce. It is the only sauce I don”t have to tweek. As long as we can buy yours I will never make it from scratch again.

So i brought some chicken to work and it needed a little something i saw this unopened jar in our break room fridge at work. i just had to open it and try. i must say it\’s quite tasty. i used about a 1/4 of the bottle. I plan on ordering some now!
Ginger Jalapeno is the best barbecue sauce I have ever tried.
Your Salmon Glaze is utterly spactacular! We marinated Salmon fillets in it for 6 hours & then grilled them. Oh My GOSH…soooooo goood

I used to make my own barbeque sauce until I tried Daddy Sam\’s. Wow, now I eat it on everything. Burgers are especially good with DS barbeque sauce.
I came across your BBQ sauce because it was the only one in our grocery store’s shelf that didn’t have corn syrup in it. So decided to give yours a try.
I was pleasantly surprised by how good it is.

Do you have a sauce hotter than the “medium” – e.g. ginger and jalapeno? This medium sauce is absolutely the best BBQ sauce I’ve ever found, and if you make anything besides it, it is bound to be good. I recommend your product to friends, and can’t imagine life without it. Keep up the good work.
